Julie Spence
An African-American woman befriended by Lois Lane soon after the apparent death of Lucy Lane in a mysterious boating accident. Adept at martial arts, Julie saves Lois from muggers and moves into an apartment with Lois, along with Marsha Mallow and Kristin Cutler. Lois and Superman help her find her missing parents, who had been evicted from their apartment and re-located to a ramshackle hovel in the desert (first appearance, SGLL No. 121, Apr 1972: "Everything You Always Wanted to Know about Lois Lane, But Were Afraid to Ask!")
