The planet is colonized and developed as a fully Kryptonian location with Kandorian technology by its residents. The name is a translation of the kryptonian language and means "gift from god".
Rokyn still exists in the far future, and is referred to as a "new Krypton" in the chronicles of the Legion of Super-Heroes (Adv No. 356/1, May 1967: "The Five Legion Orphans!").
