Gold Volcano
A volcano on the planet Krypton that erupts pure gold instead of the silicates common to Earth lava. Gold makes up a substantial amount of sub-crustal magma on Krypton, making the metal literally worthless to the planet's citizens, except for its physical properties (S No. 141, Nov 1960: "Superman's Return to Krypton").
