The Duplicate Man

A cunning, ingenious criminal, clad in an orange and blue costume, who has somehow devised a scientific means of transforming himself into twins and then merging the twins into one man again, so that if one twin is captured he can easily "dematerialize" like a wraith from the grasp of his captors to rejoin the body of the second twin some distance away. Determined to "steal the world's greatest inventions and become the most powerful criminal on Earth," the Duplicate Man perpetrates a series of spectacular thefts, only to be finally apprehended by Batman, Robin and Superman in December 1959 (WF No. 106: "The Duplicate Man!").
