The Army of Tomorrow
The Army of Tomorrow are strange energy-powered mutated humans created by the sinister villain Calixto (S No. 265, Jul 1973: "Attack by the Army of Tomorrow!"). As well as being formidable opponents with a military manner and dress, they are distinguished by possessing two thumbs on each hand. After Superman and Perry White defeat Calixto, the newly-grateful mutant Army rewards White with power-packed cigars that give him extraordinary abilitites (Act No. 436, Jun 1974: "The Super-Cigars of Perry White!").
