Look-Alike Squad

An organization in the bottle city of Kandor which is composed of individuals who are perfect look-alikes for Superman's closest friends (Act No. 309, Feb 1964: ‘The Superman Super-Spectacular!”). They emerge from the bottle city of Kandor, enlarge themselves, and take the places of their Earthly counterparts. The Look-Alike Squad works in conjunction with the Superman Emergency Squad from Kandor.

Members of the Look-Alike Squad include Vol-Don, Clark Kent's Kandorian double; Zol-Lar, Jimmy Olsen's Kandorian double; and Ar-Rone, Perry White's Kandorian double (S No. 177/1, May 1965: “Superman’s Kryptonese Curse!”; and others).

When Metropolis television station WMET-TV inaugurates its new “Our American Heroes” series with a program honoring Superman, “our greatest American hero,” the Look-Alike Squad appears on the show along with Superman’s other friends and admirers to help pay tribute to the Man of Steel (Act No. 309, Feb 1964: “The Superman Super-Spectacular!”).
