Wegthor
One of three moons of Krypton, Wegthor is destroyed by the scientist Jax-Ur, a villianous act that earns him a lengthy sentence in the Phantom Zone (Act No. 310, Mar 1964: "The Secret of Kryptonite Six!"; and others).
Early in his scientific career, Jor-El designs an anti-gravity space vehicle that carries young Lara to Wegthor. Because of a mishap, Jor-El has to stow away on a more conventional rocket ship to rescue his future wife, who manages to survive in a valley that retained a minimal atmosphere (S No. 233, Jan 1971: "Jor-El's Golden Folly"). Wegthor is able to sustain colonists in these low topography zones.
