"The Brain"
A "scientific genius who has turned his twisted talents to crime." In July-August 1953 "The Brain" demolishes the Parthenon, the Sphinx, and the Leaning Tower of Pisa—and makes up one of his henchmen to impersonate Superman—as part of an elaborate scheme to make off with $50,000,000 in precious gems lent to Metropolis by the Maharajah of Ipostan, but Superman thwarts the scheme, restores the famed monuments, and takes the villains into custody (S No. 83/1: "Destination X!").
