Cosmic Man is the leader of the Adult Legion of Super-Heroes. He is married to Lydda Jath aka Night Woman, who was once Night Girl of the Legion of Substitute Heroes when she was younger.

Cosmic Man, Lightning Man, and Saturn Woman traveled back in time to present day Metropolis to visit their good friend and fellow Legion member Superboy, now grown up and known as Superman. The Legionnaires aid the Man of Steel in his battle against the combined threat of Lex Luthor and the Legion of Super-Villains (S No. 147/3, Aug 1961: "The Legion of Super-Villains"; and others).
