The name of the experimental rocket plane created by the US Air Force and named after [[Superman]]. The S-16 however doesn't work properly during a test run when the pilot loses control just as he turn is rocket engine on and is sent crashing toward Earth, thankfully the pilot safely ejected, Superman then manages to grab the S-16 before it crashes and take it "...to its highest range, 100 miles above Earth!" and Superman thinks to himself "Now it can blow up safely!".

The name of the experimental rocket plane created by the US Air Force and named after Superman. The S-16 however doesn't work properly during a test run when the pilot loses control just as he turns its rocket engine on and the plane is sent crashing toward Earth.
