I removed the Silver Age category from this page. My reasoning was that I don't recall whether The 100 appeared in pre-1971 Lois Lane stories or just back-ups featuring Rose and the Thorn. --[[User:DrJohnnyDiablo|DrJohnnyDiablo]] | I removed the Silver Age category from this page. Do you know if Tobias Whale or Black Lightning ever crossed over into a Superman story? They were from Metropolis, but I'm not sure if they ever did...so they did factor into the pre-Crisis 100 but I suppose that's why I thought those entries shouldn't be links, unless they did cross over into canonical stories -- Suicide Slum, by Kirby each time did seem to be retconned to Metropolis--MatterEaterLad 22:01, 19 August 2006 (EDT)
I can check, but if they didn't why even bring them up in the entry? What do they have to do with Superman?

ok, (Super-Speed comes in handy)
Tobias Whale: Never gets to meet Superman.
Black Lightning: DC Comics Presents #83 July 1985
So, therefore, Black Lightning is canonical but Tobias Whale is not.

Well, OK, it does get a bit tricky, since Black Lightning for all his short-lived Metropolis career seems to battle the Tobias Whale 100, so I thought it might be a toss up, giving him a reference but not a link...the whole reason there is a Black Lightning is because Tobias Whale started invading his home, but then that, I guess that's another quirk of the format--MatterEaterLad 00:08, 20 August 2006 (EDT)
